OUR MEMA

We Love Mema!!!!!

Sweet Mom

Happy Mothers Day to my sweet adorable mom. Words can not explain the love I have for my dear mom. She is absolutly the BEST mother ever. I am trying each day to be a mom like her. She was always there for us when we came home from school I have so many memories of her standing in the kitchen saying"Hi Sis how was your day?" She was at all of our activities and tried to always put us before anything besides church that is. It is hard to not have her here today to spoil on this special day. I am so glad that I can say that my mom is one of my best friends, I know I can call and tell her anything and she will love me to the end. I love you mom and hope dad spoils you to pieces you deserve it. Thanks for always being there for me. I wish I could give you a great big hug and kiss. XOXO

Love, Amy

Mommy Makeover

Today was Mommy Makeover for Kiley's kindergarten class. They pampered us with treats, massages, stories ,you name it, and of course a gorgeous make-over. It was so dang cute. Kiley was excited for days. I have to enjoy these types of things because our kids grow up too fast.
This the final product. I look ADORABLE. I was the only lucky ducky with stunning red lips. Ignore the droopy eye I do not know what was up with that. It looked the same in all the pictures maybe it was the make-up.

Women's Conference (WoCon) '08

I had the privilege of attending Women's Conference this past weekend. It was a lot of fun. The good thing about the conference is that you have the opportunity of strengthening your testimony while having a blast with your friends. We had a lot of late nights playing Loaded Questions, talking, laughing and messing with our friends in another room. Good Times!!! First night in Prove freezing our buns off. Jules was really cold in her shorts. Us AZ girls are not use to it snowing in May. Our crew consisted of the 4 Worthen girls, Mishy the Mom, Jules, and me.
Jules and Syd soaking up the speaker. The best was Linds was also asleep next to Syd but woke up when we were getting the camera.
Dinner with the huge crew. Alli , Sheri and Sheri's 2 friends joined us for dinner.
The concert. It was pretty funny. Do not worry we took this photo like 5 times because everyone kept moving before the flash went off.
Us 4 ladies trekking it across campus to the Smith Field House. Michelle loved the snow capped mountains, funny thing is that you can not see them in the picture because of the glare.

I stopped by my brother Dustins work on Sat. to give him a hug before we took off. I wished I could have seen his family also.
The last day after we had the privilege of having our dear Prophet speak to us. That was such a treat because we did not know he was the closing speaking until we got there. It was so neat when he walked into the Marriott Center the spirit was so strong testifying to everyone that he is a man called of God to be our prophet at this time. It was amazing.

Hailey is 11

My oldest daughter is 11, oh boy it is crazy to think she is so old. Sad thing is that means I am old. She has had a fun birthday it began on Sat. with her friend birthday party. It was so much fun, she planned it all herself. She had an "All Girls Game Party", she had lots of fun games to play with all her friends. I thought it was pretty creative. Then Monday night we had the Skousens over for cake and ice cream, and this morning she got all her goods from us and we took her to lunch at Joe's for her free birthday meal. Hailey has always been such a special girl. She is a great daughter who is always so helpful. She is such a sweet sister and friend. She pretty much is always SMILING or READING. The chick loves to read. Not like her mom one ounce. Happy Birthday Hailey Brooke Skousen!!!!! lunch at Joes Jack was there but his turn to take the pic
Disaster Zone this is my family room after the party with her friends.

Academic Night

Academic night is for all the 4th thru 6th graders who got straight A's and only one B all year. This is Hailey's second year getting to attend. She loves it. Maicy and Kiley also got straight A's but they are too young. I do not know how I got such smart kids. I think I was smart but lazy. My poor parents tried everthing to get me to do my best. I remember my dad in high school telling me he would give my $100 if I got straight A's I did it for $100. The Skousen's have some smarty pants in their blood also. Some one was taking a picture at the same time so their flash interfered.
This is what I have to deal with anytime we go anywhere that Annie has to be quiet. It is impossible for her to behave herself. She is wedged between the floor and the back of the seats in front of us. She thought she was so funny. I had to laugh because she was even saying cheese for the picture. Of course we ended up in the hall with her.
Hailey, Megan, ?, and Courtney
Hailey was so excited because her cousin Courtney's school was also there. They love each other. Hailey , Court, and Natalie (Courtney's BF)
Hailey and Katie they are really good friends.

Suns Game

Krisit gave Hailey tickets to the Suns game for her birthday. Jack was the lucky dad who got to take her. Hailey was so excited she insisted that I buy Jack a Suns shirt. He loved taking her he said she was so hyper. It is crazy how much kids love one on one time. We need to do more of that.
